The Ecology of Urban Foxes

and related topics

"The red fox is considered to be one of the most beautiful animals alive, as well as one of the most interesting."
-- The New York Times, May 5, 1998

This page has info on a lot of stuff I found out about red foxes (Vulpes vulpes) while studying urban populations of them for my Masters degree at the University of Minnesota. Each section listed below contains an edited version of what I wrote on the topic, and provides a way for you to get the full text, if you're interested. (Select the "Download" links, which call up text or GIF files, and choose the "Save to Disk" option from your browser.)

Note that references to other papers have been mostly left out of the edited text; they are included in the full versions. Although a bibliography is not provided with each part, a full bibliography is available separately, and is also included in the full version of the paper.
